Preschool Library Accepting Book Donations

Dear School Community!

The Preschool library of the German School would be delighted to accept donations of used German children’s books, CDs or DVDs. If you have books at home that you may not need anymore because your children have outgrown them, we would gladly take them. We need German books for 2-5-year old children.

Visiting the library with all of our 140 preschoolers has been a part of our program for many years, and the children really enjoy being able to take German library materials home. By now, they each have their own ideas as to what topics they are interested in and whether they want books, DVDs, or CDs. The books of the library have become an important part for the development of good language skills in the life of our preschool children.

Due to the frequent use of all the library materials, we are always in need of donations and replacements. We would be very grateful to you, if you would support our library through your book donations. The books can be given to Mrs. Voss, the preschool librarian, who also works in the Seahorse group.

Donated books that cannot be used for the library will be sold on May 12th, 2017 at our planned book flea market at the Preschool. All proceeds will benefit the children’s library directly and new books will be bought.

Sincerely,

Martina Voss / Preschool Librarian
